Moroccan lentil and chickpea soup 

1 butternut 1 Red pepper

1 can lentils 

1 can chickpeas

Half red onion

2 cloves garlic 

3 Tablespoons paprika

1tsp smoked paprika

2 tsp cumin

2,5tsp dried chili flakes 

2tsp nutmeg

1 cinnamon stick or 1 tsp ground cinnamon 

30ml tomato paste

1 can chopped tomatoes 

1 cup passata 

3 cups vegetable stock

Salt and pepper 

Parsley for garnish 

– Heat pan and add all spices , add onion and oil, garlic, pepper .

-add all liquid ingredients, allow to simmer for 15 min, add the canned lentils and chickpeas, then season to taste , simmer for another 20min until all the flavors have come together and the butternut has softened 

Serve with fresh bread & garnish with chopped coriander
